![]() ![]() This hits me right in the feels for my childhood/growing up. Formica 1x1 dining table and shitty chairs! CRT TVs and wallphones <3. Thanks to the time/era of the game too, the furniture speaks to me more aswell. TS3 had this strange darkness to it, but TS2 feels lighter and more stylised, even a dark room has an evenness to it, lighting wise. It reminds me of the cluster-fk days of The Sims 1 where things felt like they went bad, a lot. My sims dip into the orange/red plumb bob at times, and they have NEEDS. It has that hard edge that I feel like has been missing from TS3 and especially 4. I am actually blown away that this game still holds up, the animations and stuff packed into the Ultimate Collection is staggering, and I'm surprised at how much was actually in TS2. Got it working on my system thanks to the 4gb patch, the Graphics rule thing, and the Clean UI (and all the anti-corruption packages ofc!) So I nabbed it from that old game site, as there's no legit way to purchase. Now in 2022, for whatever reason I was like 'Hey, how about the Sims 2?!'. Probably due to teenage life and other games, and then TS3 came out and assumably that was the better one so I never dipped back. I remember playing this back in the day with all my discs but I dropped off for whatever reason when all the exp packs started coming out again. ![]()
